About Room 23

Room 23 is a Year 7/8 class at Belfast School!

We are made up of 26 AMAZING students. We all represent our school values CARE, SHARE, LEARN and GROW with pride!

Our class name is Hikutau, meaning eel pot / end. Our class is named Hikutau because  Room 23 is the furthest West of the school and we are the end of the Seniors.

We love to share our learning and look forward to reading your comments on our blogs!

Te Ahi Ora

On our first day back at school Te Ahi Ora came and took each class for a workshop

They taught us a range of tricks with the sticks which included flipping and throwing.  That night we were then able to go along for a community evening and the ends of the sticks were on FIRE!

We loved this session and some of us have already made some of our own to keep practicing! We made these with old broom handles and masking tape.

Check out their page for more information!
